The American Team

Players will be selected from the 2001 Area Code games will play the strongest 16-18 year old teams from Japan.  This International World Series [1983-2002] will begin June 12-24, 2002 in Fukuoka, Japan and August 30 - September 2, 2002 in Long Beach, California.  American players will be selected for defense, running speed and a strong desire to succeed.

This is a development and highly competitive event.  Don Slaught, former Major League catcher will be the coach of the American Team.  We will travel with 18 players.  This is a preparation for the Goodwill Series XVI, August 31 at Long Beach, California.
