Final Game, 10 am: U18 Expos v NSW The teams decided to play through ten innings to give all pitchers a chance to work for the new South Wales team. It was a long game, as the day was particularly humid. Many pitchers pitched for the Expos; we borrowed several pitchers from our opponents as our players' arms were fatigued. The Expos lost their final game, but battled back to nearly close the gap. Ross Blondin led off with a walk and was scored by a Block Lindeke single. The Expos' next run came in the 4th, when Chris Bohannon tripled and came home on a Tim Todriquez sacrifice fly. Then in the 5th, Patrick Kennedy walked, advanced to second on an error, and scored when Angelo Medal doubled to right. Angelo then scored on another Block Lindeke single. In the 8th, Patrick Kennedy sigled and scored on a 3rd Brock Lindeke single. The next three runs were manufactured by pinch hitters from the pitching staff. Ben Shivers singled and was scored by a Patrick Woodiss fielder's choice. Logan Hannah walked and scored on a wild pitch. Patrick Woodiss reached 1st on a fielder's choice and scored by another single by Brock Lindeke. Blondin: walk, run, HR; Kennedy: 2 walks, single, run; Bonnikson: 1 for 6, RBI, 4 Ks; Hanlon: 1 for 6, K; Bommarito: 0 for 2, K; Medal: 1 for 4, HP, run, double, RBI, 2Ks; Lindeke: 3 for 5, 4 RBIs; Bohannon: 1 for 2, tripple, run, K; Miles: 1 for 2; Lambert: 0 for 1; Rodriquez: 0 for 3, sac fly, RBI; Shivers: 1 for 1, run; Alexander: 1 for 2, single, walk; Hannah: walk,run; Foreman: 0 for 3; Woodiss: run, RBI. |
