Game Three, 11 am: U18 Expos (8) v NSW Country (4) The Expos traveled to the Central coast for meet the New South Wales country Team again. The drive was beautful, but most of the players used the time to grab some extra sleep. They won this 9 inning game 5-3, showed good teamwork and good situational hitting. Ryan Hanlon, Jason Lambert, and Ben shivers combined for the win. Hanlon pitched 5 innings, struck out 3, walked 3, gave up 2 hits, but no earned runs. Lambert pitched the 6-8th innings, struck out 1, walked 1, gave up 3 hits, and picked up 3 earned runs. Shivers closed the 9th, giving up 1 hit and hitting 1 batter, but gaining no earned runs. Ross Blondin led off with a single, stole 2nd, and was driven in by Tom Bommarito. Bommarito singled and was driven in by Jack bonnikson's double. th eExpos were quiet offensively until the 6th inning, when Tim Rodriquez doubled and was driven home by Patrick kennedy's double. The Expos added two runs in the 8th when Patrick Woodis walked, followed by Patrick Kennedy reaching 1st on an error, both scoring on Casey Wightman's single. Blondin: 1 for 4, run, walk; Wightman: 1 for 5, 2 RBIs, 1 K; Lindeke: 1 for 4, 1 HP; Bommarito: 1 for 4, run, RBI, walk; Bonnikson: 2 for 5,1 RBI, 2B; Bohannon: 0 for 5, 3 Ks; Rodriquez: 2 for 4, run; Foreman: 0 for 2, 1 Hp, 1 K; Woodis: walk, run; Kennedy: 1 for 4, run, RBI. |
