Tough Double Header for Expos U18s Game 4: Expos U18s v Tigers Patrick Kennedy hit the first home run of the series, a high solo shot over the center fielder's head. This run came in the second inning and was all the offensive action for the Expos until the fifth. Casey Wightman led off the fifth with a single and scored, Kyle Foreman walked and scored, Sebastian Miles singled both these runners in and scored himself on a double by Jack Bonnikson. In the seventh, Chris Bohannon reached on an error and scored on Jack Bonnikson's single. Ryan Hanlon, Jordan Muir, Jason Lambert pitched. Sebastian Miles closed. Miles: 1 for 3 with walk, run, 2 RBIs; Bonnikson: 3 for 4, double, 2 RBIs; Blondin: 0 for 4; Hanlon: 0 for 4; Kennedy: 1 for 1, HR, RBI; Wightman: 2 for 2, run; Lindeke: 0 for 3; Bohannon: 0 for 3, run; Foreman: 0 for 2, walk, run. Game 5: Expos U18s v U18s Tim Rodriquez pitched 4 innings and Logan Hannah closed. Errors behind the pitchers led to several runs and a win for the U18s. The Expos first scored in the second when Patrick Kennedy was hit by a pitch. He stole two bases and was driven home by a sacrifice fly by Casey Wightman. In the third Jack Bonnikson got on with an error, stole a base, and was driven home by a double by Ross Blondin. Casey Wightman doubled in the seventh, stole a base, and scored on a Ben Shivers out. Tom Bommarito walked, stole second, and was also driven in by Ben Shivers. That was it for the Expos offense. Shivers: 0 for 4, 2 RBIs; Bonnikson: 1 for 3, run; Blondin: 2 for 4, 2 doubles, RBI; Alexander: 0 for 2, walk; Hanlon: 1 for 3; Kennedy: 3 for 3, HR, 2 runs; Medal: 0 for 3; Wightman: 1 for 2, double, sac fly, run, RBI; Anthony Martin: 0 for 2; Bommarito: walk, stolen base, run. Coming up for the Expos in Perth The host baseball teams and families put on a Christmas barbecue for all the Expos. The boys had a chance to get to know other baseball players and had a great time. The Expos play their final game tomorrow afternoon. |
