The Brewers, unable to pull up from behind, nonetheless displayed irrepressible spirit and fair batting skill. Yale Eckert (California) hit a double and had two RBI's. Matt McGee (Tennessee) and Chris LoPiccolo (California) each contributed an RBI. Base hits were also provided by Shane Delligatta (Ohio), Tanner Hoechlin (California), and Chase Pennington (California).
Coach Stewart Smothers and pitching Coach Kyle Dunning, though disappointed in today's outcome, were confident that the team would come back at the Sydney games in the coming days.
