Brewers 18 & Under vs Goodwill Series' Expos 18 & Under

5 - 0, Expos

Though not a strong day for the Brewers, the team persevered despite the odds. Pitcher Brett Bollman (Oklahoma) went for six innings, giving up only two earned runs and striking out five opposing hitters. Josh Prince (Louisiana) and Kenny Ford (Florida) added hits.

Brewers 16 & Under vs West Australia Under 16

6 - 5, Brewers

In this tight competition, the Brewers 16 and Under took and held the lead. They combined for seven hits, six runs and were flawless on defensive. Frankie Giorgi (California) pitched six innings with eight strike outs. Matt McGee (Tennessee) had a solo home run and an RBI. Other game RBI's were provided by John Diebolt (Florida), Chris LoPiccolo (California), and Blake Pennington (California). Kai Ribao (Hawaii) had a double.

Coach Stewart Smothers and pitching coach Kyle Dunning remarked that the players performed well both as a team and individually, an indication of the growth and advancement that's taken place over the last 11 days of play on the 2004 -05 Australian baseball road trip.

Brewers' Rookies vs West Australia 14 Under

12 - 6, Brewers

Boasting a strong six run lead to end the game, the Brewers Rookies were strong on the field and at the plate with a combined 10 hits on day four of the Perth series. Marc Mason hit a three run homer and Gregory Zebrack (California) went three for three with a triple and three RBI's. The combined pitching results of nine strike outs and only one earned run was owned by Braydon Dunning (Oregon) and Adam Adkins (Tennessee). Additional RBI's were contributed by Mitchell Thompson (California), John Greer (Tennessee), and Ryan Albert (California). There were nine stolen bases.

Coach Thomari Story-Harding praised the players for their individual achievements and working together as a team and was looking forward to a stunning team record to close out the series for the Rookies over the next day.
